Timeline
6 months
The Sprint
We kicked off the project with a 4-day design sprint in Colorado with Various IC’s and stakeholders. At the end of the design sprint, we had defined requirements for MVP, stakeholder buy-in, and a prototype to use for testing.

Initial Stakeholder Review
Another designer (who was focused on web) and I paired up to build wireframes based on the solutions in the design sprint. We reviewed the wireframes onsite with stakeholders and subject matter experts to iterate before building a testable prototype.

Rapid Prototyping & Testing
I prepared prototypes for 2 rounds of remote usability testing with real athlete customers to gather feedback and iterate. We also ran some in-the-gym tests to create internal company stoke and get feedback from our knowledgeable employees.

Outcomes
Strength mobile received a 71% CSAT score from an open beta with 500+ athletes and coaches.

"This is the biggest release we've had in years." - Ben Crookston, VP of Product

Challenges
We were limited in how many users we could test the prototypes with because we didn't want to let the public know we were working on the project. It was also challenging for our team to build the project in React Native, while most of the app is in Native code.
